PrivyShare by FiliPal — encrypt messages and files for secure sharing through your existing chat and email apps
PrivyShare encrypts messages and files on your device before you send them. You then share the encrypted package through almost any messaging or file-sharing app — for example WhatsApp, Signal, Viber, Telegram, Messenger or email. The recipient opens the content in PrivyShare, while all intermediaries (apps, servers, network operators) only see an encrypted file.

How it works
- Write a message or add an attachment in PrivyShare.
- Encryption happens on your device — private keys stay local.
- Share the package through an app you already use (WhatsApp, Signal, Mail…).
- The recipient taps the package, PrivyShare opens and decrypts the content.
- Optionally block saving or set an expiry — messages can delete automatically.
Attachments are always stored as encrypted packages; decrypted content exists only temporarily while viewing in the app, unless you explicitly allow export.
Why PrivyShare is different
Most apps protect communication within their own platform (for example secure chats or encrypted email). PrivyShare goes a step further in a different direction: it encrypts the content itself (messages and files) on your device into a package you can then share across different apps, whether or not those apps use their own encryption.
- Protection starts before sending — messages and files are encrypted locally on your phone before they leave the device. The channel you use to send them (WhatsApp, Signal, Viber, email…) no longer matters, because only encrypted content travels through it.
- Use apps you already have — PrivyShare is not a new messenger. It adds a protection layer to the apps you already use for messaging and file sharing, instead of forcing you to switch to a new communication platform.
- Privacy stays with you — PrivyShare does not need access to your contacts to work. It does not collect your conversations or store them on its own servers — content stays in a local vault on your device, in encrypted form.
- You decide where data lives — for everyday use you can stay on local sharing; for larger attachments you can set up a self-hosted server for encrypted attachments (e.g. via a Cloudflare Worker) instead of relying on someone else's infrastructure. Encrypted content does not depend on one platform or one communication provider.
Protection is not tied to the app you send with, but to the content you send — so your data does not depend on one communication platform and its security model.

PrivyShare is useful when you share personal or business information that you do not want left in plain-text chats or email.

Can I prevent saving or exporting attachments?
Yes. For each message you can set a policy — e.g. "PrivyShare only" (no saving to gallery or files) and a time limit after which the message is automatically deleted. Attachments are always stored as encrypted packages; decrypted content exists only temporarily while viewing in the app, unless you explicitly allow export.
Can I set messages to expire (e.g. passwords, PINs)?
Yes. For each message you can choose a visibility duration in minutes, hours or days. The app can warn you that a message is about to expire, and when the deadline passes the content is no longer visible in the conversation or in the local vault.
